Jimbee Snack with Lentil Bolognese

A simple and healthy recipe to enjoy your Jimbee Snack Lettuce

The recipe

Method: 

  • Leave the lentils to soak overnight. The next day, drain the lentils and cook in water with a bay leaf. Cook the lentils until they are ready.
  • Heat up a pan with a little extra virgin olive oil and sauté the finely chopped onion. When it begins to turn clear, add the lentils, the tomato sauce and the stock. Reduce the heat and leave to cook until all of the vegetable stock has evaporated, leaving a thicker bolognese. Add the salt and pepper and nutritional yeast. Combine.
  • Take a Jimbee leaf and wash it. Then use a spoon to serve the bolognese.
Ingredients:

  • Jimbee Snack
  • 1/2 an onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup of cooked lentils
  • ½ cup of tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup of vegetable stock
  • 1 tablespoon of nutritional yeast
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A dash of extra virgin olive oil
