Jimbee Snack relleno Tofu Satay

A simple and healthy recipe to enjoy your Jimbee Snack Lettuce

The recipe

Instructions:

  • First, thoroughly drain the tofu, wrap it in baking parchment and allow all the water to be released.
  • Prepare the satay sauce by mixing all of the ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.
  • Heat up a pan with a little extra virgin olive oil. Dice the tofu and sauté until golden brown. Reduce the heat and add the sauce over the tofu. Cook for a few seconds.
  • Take a Jimbee leaf and wash it. Then use a spoon to serve the tofu satay. Add more sauce to finish.

Ingredients:

  • Jimbee Snack
  • 1 block of tofu

Satay sauce:

  • ¼ cup of nut butter, e.g. peanut butter
  • ½ cup of plant-based milk
  • Juice of one lime
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon of coconut sugar, whole cane sugar or your favourite sweetener
  • 2 clove of garlic, chopped
  • 1 piece of fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon of chilli flakes
